In case you didnt hear, Sen. Carl Levin blamed the Republicans. Truth be told, the reason the filibusters exist on the presidents nominees for judges for the DC Circuit court is that the docket is so light that the appointments cant be justified. Instead of rejecting the appointees, they have been held to the sidelines (being allowed to work in their current positions) until openings occur and/or the case load increases. No other reason. Sadly, the DC Circuit court is responsible for overseeing the Constitutionality of all laws, rules and regulations passed by the Congress and the President of the US. The judge that was voted in today, using the new Senate rule, has a background of breaking rules herself.
