In case you didnt know it, Facebook as a means of communicating with you is slowly dying. As more and more independent artists and businesses vie for your attention, the algorithms that determine what you see and what gets pushed to the bottom lean heavily towards those acts that can pay a premium to have their updates (really just ads if were honest) placed in your timeline. I have heard from many of you that you dont see the posts I put up until right before the event is supposed to happen and by that point you cannot make it out due to childcare, job schedule, or other concerns. I totally understand and want you to be able to know about and attend as many shows as you would like to over the course of 2015. As an independent musician who needs to spend money on gas to gigs and not status updates, I have decided that the old-school use of a mailing list is the best way for me to get directly in touch with you beautiful folks who support my music.
