In case you didnt see Angelas post, here it is: UPDATE: Im here with my mom and she has had her ventilation tube removed. She is alert and doing good with movement on her left side. The right side is incredibly weak and not responding well to tests. They are scheduled to have someone come tomorrow to test her swallowing to see if they can remove the feeding tube. She is coughing up stuff (yum!), which is good. She is not able to talk...shes trying though! Beginning tomorrow PT and OT will be in twice a day to work with her. They plan to get her up and moving within a couple days. Also, preliminary tests show no sign of infection in her toe wound, so they are simply treating it with ointment and bandaging. Dr said she looks to have a long road of recovery....Im believing for better than that!
