In case you havent heard. NBS played the tropicana shortly after their historic alley show :) Reposting: Jim was my best friend in high school and the years after. When I was new to school he found me. We had to be friends because there were only two other punks at our school! We wanted to make a fanzine (Dresch - where I inherited my name) in printing class, We had barely ever seen a small Zine before, our only point of reference was maximum rock and roll and flipside. We learned how to use the printing press, how to typeset and halftone pictures together. We got an A in that class. Later, we both wanted to play music. I am pretty sure I taught him the punk rock bar chord that Eric taught me and instantly he became a better guitar player than all of us. We would talk on the phone for hours and I still laugh every time I think of him yelling at his grandma to get off the phone!!! He got me my first real paying job at the fruit farm, to me it was so much money and I was able to buy my first bass and bass amp because of it. We lived in an orchard every summer for four years. I lived in my van or trailer and he lived in the trailer next door. Eventually we both found separate paths and went on our way but Im forever grateful for knowing him.
