In-case you havent noticed the J1ers are here! The welcome mat has been out at the IIPC and we kicked off our series of J1 orientations last Thursday, May 29. The IIPC was packed to the doors with the biggest crowd yet -120 J1 students total attended the seminar and there wasnt a spare seat in the house. We hosted another orientation today to a slightly smaller crowd and provided advice and assistance on employment, accommodation, applying for Social Security Numbers, personal safety and much more! We will host another two orientations on Wednesday, June 11 and June 18 from 12 noon here at the center! Please encourage any summer visitors to attend and get the advice and information they need to make the most of their summer in San Francisco!! Given the large volume of students coming, we will not be able to give one on one advice during regular office hours. The Orientation is the best one-stop-shop for getting the information students need!
