In case you havent seen the news anywhere...its no secret the world is in a bit of turmoil to say the least. I only wanted to address one thing with this post, especially to haters out there, which have been prevalent in light of recent events...IT IS NOT OK TO BE RACIST OR MAKE SUCH COMMENTS ON MY WALL OR ANYWHERE ELSE. Solidarity with Palestinians and their plight does NOT equate to racism against Jews or others. Its an insult and disservice to the Palestinian struggle for freedom and dignity. Most people of decency long to live side-by-side with each other and not in perpetual conflict. Im also sick of people telling me how much they hate Jews or Israel when they find out or know Im Palestinian as if I undoubtedly share your viewpoint. Newsflash people...you hate Semitic Jews....then you hate me (or yourself) too...for I, too, am a Semite. This goes for Jews, Muslims, Christians, or whatever else you believe. You want to choose something or someone to hate, if you must, how about intolerance, bigotry, and injustice, and nearly every single politician (except maybe Jose Murica president of Uruguay...hes actually pretty cool), and political group that have whipped us all into this frenzy. Please keep in mind that Palestinians and Israelis are a very diverse group of people: Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Druze, Atheist, etc. All deserve to live in peace with justice, dignity, and equality. All of a people cannot be to blame for the actions of their governments or political representatives...if so, lets condemn every single citizen: American, German, French, or pretty much every country on this planet, which we ALL share. This would be ridiculous. You want to boycott Israel, fine…don’t boycott all Israelis. You want to condemn Hamas (a symptom of the occupation)…fine, don’t condemn all Palestinians (especially children and civilians). The inner politician in some of you may call me naive, or even a utopian, but all I ask is we appeal to our humanity. Otherwise, what life is worth living in perpetual fear? NO to military occupation, violence, and vengeance. May there be peace and prayers for all innocent victims caught in the follies of war and politics (Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Israel, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Latin America, and more).
