In case you missed it, during Putins annual phone-in show today, one Edward Snowden made a video call to ask whether Russia conducts indiscriminate electronic surveillance of its citizens. Of course not, answered the Russian president. To all the Snowden fans out there: the man is willingly turning himself into a dictators handy propaganda puppet. No, this does not detract from those of his revelations that must continue to be discussed in this country, but yes, it casts a shadow so dark on his character as to be inexcusable and irreparable.
