In case you missed it, here was our post on Tuesday remembering the late Pete Seeger. Seeger was a friend of working families whose folk music inspired workers and whole communities to dream of and seek social change, died yesterday at the age of 94. AFSCME remembers him for his willingness to imagine a more just world for all workers, the optimistic outlook he maintained throughout his life and captured in his songs, and his activism on behalf of the labor movement, the civil rights movement and other progressive causes.
