In case you missed it, heres a recap of the anti-fracking ballot measures that were voted on this past Tuesday. Voters in Santa Barbara County rejected Measure P, allowing fracking and other forms of unconventional well stimulation to continue. However, we were victorious in Mendocino County and San Benito County, as voters approved both Measure S and Measure J. This is only the beginning. County by county, city by city, one way or another, we will ban fracking in California. We must learn from these two victories. Next election cycle, we need everyone to start organizing with other activists within cities/counties, and we need to get anti-fracking ballot initiatives proposed all across the state.
