In case you missed it, my Junkee op-ed was syndicated to Guardian Australia yesterday. There are some thoughtful comments there (along with the usual wilful point-missing ones), but I guess what frustrates me most about clothing size is that we, the shoppers for clothes, find it hard to see the issue from the perspective of clothing manufacturers, and believe it should be on them (or on the government, or a trade regulatory body) to make *our* lives easier. As I write in the book: "Paradoxically, whingeing about vanity sizing – and demanding that manufacturers adhere to an across-the- board sizing standard instead – is an incredibly vain thing to do. It’s much more humble to realise that designers don’t purposely arrange their sizing to trick you, and that more likely than not, you just aren’t a particular brand’s priority customer."
