In case you missed it, you HAVE to listen to this weeks This American Life. Well, at least the first part. The first segment features Jezebels Lindy West confronting one of her worst online trolls over the phone. (Just a heads up, the content could be potentially triggering as it involves rape threats. yeah) A someone who deals with DAILY harassment because of the issues I explore online, I found Lindys strength and honesty incredibly refreshing and inspiring. Being a woman online, and a black woman at that, is freaking scary. Im glad were talking about this and getting to the root of what makes people act a fool online.
