In celebration of John Cages birthday on Sep. 5, Kay led us on a hike yesterday in Norvin Green State Forest, NJ. At each trail intersection, a coin was flipped to determine whether to proceed left, center, or right. At lunch, we performed 12 Radios, and NY Rambler standard, 433 . With Kay conducting, we turned on two portable radios and various music players. While I and SongJa randomly spun the radios tuner knobs, Virginia and Ingrid randomly spun the volume knobs. Afterwards, we continued hiking and coin tossing until mid-afternoon, whereupon we consulted maps and planned our exit strategy. Thank you John Cage.
