In central universities,salery of Assistant prof. is approximately 65000+/month,for Ass.Prof. 80000+/month,for prof.1,20,000+/month.But research scholar gets 8000/month.In some other higher educational institutes,salery is more than central universities.Here research scholar gets 16,000/month.So,who will want to go into research in 8000/month.Throgh CSIR,seats are limited.If all research scholars come through CSIR/NET,then research in most of the educational institutes will be closed.So most of the central universities conduct their own test also.I think that atleast 20,000/month should be given to scholars,because 8000/month can not be justify at present time.You also see the condition of state universities,Here research programmes have closed due to financial problem as well as non interest of concern government in higher education.Governments are busy in to make money in five years because they know that he will not come again in picture.
