In choosing to believe in that which can or can not be proven, we - TopicsExpress

In choosing to believe in that which can or can not be proven, we find faith. It is faith that defines religion. The agnostic admits that he does not know, or rather accepts the idea that some things are by definition unknowable. Im not agnostic, but I do understand that logically it is the only truly rational position. To assume that nothing can exist beyond my understanding is hubris. When one expects to see nothing, one rarely does. When one chooses to believe that something can exist beyond the dark little world we are born into, only then does it become possible to step outside and look up at a universe of possibilities. To grow in faith is to take a journey. If we sit and wait, life will pass you by. It is only when you get up and walk with God that the journey truly begins. The path Ive chosen is long, dark and narrow. Im not asking anyone to join me. Im not even certain that anyone can, however, I would encourage everyone to at least start walking. If you spend all of your time waiting for life to catch up, it will pass you by before you even realize it.
