In conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development, the African Union (AU) and many concerned Partners, we shall be adding our voices to that of every child’s voice in commemoration of the 23rd celebration of the International Day of the African Child (every June 16th). On the 19th of June, 2013 we shall be having a 2,000-man ‘charity walk’ tagged “A Walk 4 CHILDREN” in Benin City. Walk 4 Children is a peaceful walk around the major points of Benin City. The theme for this years’ walk is “Eliminating Harmful Social & Cultural Practices Affecting Children: Our Collective Responsibility.” Our main aim is to highlight the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders and call the attention of the three arms of government (i.e. the head of the executive arm; the legislative and judiciary arms) to the harmful, social and cultural practices against children in our society. On this note, we will appreciate it if you can collaborate with us and sponsor the charity walk.
