In continuing to support emerging designers in the field of both fashion and accessories design, LOOK and Inquirer Lifestyle, together with the British Council and leading industry professionals, invite you to Look of Style Awards 2014! This year, qualified designers will be reinterpreting the Maria Clara, to give the Philippine national attire a contemporary twist; as well as to create accessories that would showcase indigenous materials and techniques. To qualify for the LOOK of Style Awards, an applicant must: • Have an established, primary design business or substantial clientèle in the Philippines • Be a fashion designer with a professional design experience of at least two consecutive years (i.e. have garnered recent editorial coverage) or a fashion design student pursuing a Higher Diploma in fashion with at least two years’ work experience in the fashion industry * The competition will be open to all eligible applicants nationwide * All applications will be narrowed down to 10 finalists For pre-application, kindly send your resumé, sample works, and preferred go-see schedule In Cebu (August 23), Davao (September 5), or Manila (September 12) to lookofstyleawards12@gmail (please indicate in the subject: LOSA 2014_category_Name) or to LOOK office, 4/F, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Chino Roces St., corner Yague and Mascardo Sts., Makati, 1231.
