In defence of my Luo brother-in-laws, especially James Aggrey Orengo over the Lamu Land Saga: I would like to declare from the outset that Orengo is innocent. Luos have never been known to be land grabbers, never, and the grabbing will not begin with Orengo. We know the real land grabbers, and K is the link. From 1963 when huge tracts of land were shared out in Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, Narok and the Coast region, you will have to look extremely hard to find some Luo name among the owners of huge tracts of land. Luos are known for finer things in life, beautiful yellow yellow women, beautiful car, beautiful and powerful music systems and huge sofa sets etc. Orengo is innocent. Let us lay the blame where it squarely lies.
