In defense of TNA.... Odd considering its coming from ME..but I think Spike TV is way off base with threatening to not re sign the program. First off TNA draws at least a million watchers a week..more than most any show on that station as we speak..Secondly, They are claiming top notch advertising revenue is tough to get from a pro wrestling show..BS..they run the same ads on Impact as they do the rest of the programming and I doubt there is any reduction in revenue costs...Third, TNA has put up with absolute CRAP from Spike who seem more interested in using them to promote THEIR MMA Belator events. Even to the point of having to put up with using Rampage and Ortiz to promote a Belator fight instead of concentrating on their own ideas...and last..and MOST shocking comig from me...Spike decides THEY dont like Vince Russo so they tell TNA to can him?? Look, it may be the smartest move they could hope for but SPIKE TV has no right to dictate the inner workings of TNa..they dont OWN it. I think maybe they WANT to own it..but they dont.. So as far as Spike TV playing hardball and either forcing TNA to settle cheap or put up with them dictating policy..they are way off base. TNA will find another home and spike will fill the vacant slot with more Cops reruns or another pointless reality show and end up worse for it all in the end.. No TV deal OBVIOUSLY crushes TNA..but Spike banking on the do as we say or cease to exist method f negotiating MAY just backfire and leave their fall schedule seriously lacking a show that draws more than 100,000 viewers
