In diving, failure can be a dirty word and one that divers often refuse to accept. This refusal means that a dive is often not called when it should be; and that some dives are conducted with higher than acceptable risk factors. In his OZTeK2015 presentation, “Exploring the ‘F’ Word”, Damien Siviero – an avid cave diver and wildlife photographer who has organized and led several wreck exploration projects - will share underwater imagery and stories of real world near misses, to explore the concept of failure and why so often our judgement is clouded by either the perceived merits of success or the losses associated with failure.
