In doing my reading this morning I came across a very interesting report by Captain J. M. Moore (no relation) of the Union Army, written and submitted to the United States Army on October 19, 1865, concerning the discovery and inspection of the dead American soldiers at Andersonville. It contains this report: At Macon Major-General Wilson detailed one company of the Fourth United States Cavalfy, and one from the One Hundred and Thirty-seventh Regiment, United States Colored Troops, to assist me. A member of the former company was killed on the 5th of August at a station named Montezuma, on the South-western Railroad..."
