In every couple, there will always be opposite character traits. Strangely, it is exactly the reason why people are attracted to each other. As the old saying goes, opposites attract. (of course similarities also draw people together). Ironically, eventually, the differences that we once enjoyed can become our lifes bane or a constant irritant. Ive known couples whove had big fights just because one squeezes the tooth paste from bottom to top while the other squeezes at random spots. LOL!!! I seldom find couples where both partners are very alike. And Ive not seen any study or evidence that suggests that more similarities between partners will mean healthier and longer-lasting couples. At any rate, below are some examples of typical differences that I often see. - the planner vs the go with the flow - the rigid vs the flexible - the messy vs the neat - the decisive vs the indecisive - the procrastinator vs the action-oriented - the punctual vs the always late - the nervous vs the calm - the spender vs the thrifty - the talkative vs the quite - the owl vs the fowl - the analytical vs the blurr - the active on FB vs non-existent - the outdoorsy vs the domestic - the sporty vs the sedentary - the social animal vs the private hermit - the quiet when angry vs the roaring when angry - the light vs heavy sleeper - the sequential vs the random - the easily cold vs the easily warm ... the list is unending of course. But itll be interesting to know where you and your partner fit the above list and beyond...
