In exactly 11 days I will have been clean and sober for five months. My next step is half a year being free of any and all mind altering substances. Looking back now and remembering what it was like then, and being able to compare those times to now; I know I made a wise choice. While it wasnt the easiest choice, it was none the less a great choice for me. I can proudly say that I look forward to the coming times of sobriety and what the future may hold. Before when I was getting high I lost the feel and remembrance of what its like to be clear headed and clear minded. Im happy and greatful to have regained that memory and have the strength to face life on a sober level. It hasnt been easy and my past experiences shaped me to who I am today. I lived, I learned, and I moved forward, not with ease, but at least I am making it. Congratulations to me.
