In fact, one part of the reason why more black women aren’t breastfeeding is because quite frankly, we don’t see it enough in the mainstream media by people who look like us. White women have had a bevy of celebrity and celebrity-types such as Angelina Jolie, Gisele Bundchen, Jennifer Garner and others who have helped breastfeeding have a celebrity cache and mainstream acceptance. But we haven’t had so many.
