In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:4-5). According to this scripture we cannot separate the WORD from GOD. The two coexist and they are co-eternal. The WORD is JESUS who created all things for Himself. In this WORD otherwise known as CHRIST is life which is the light of men. And this light cannot be overcome by the activities of Satan which symbolize darkness. The begining of overcoming darkness(Satan) starts from knowing, believing and doing the WORD. This brings about life which in turn bring light that cannot be overcome by darkness. There is no LIFE in disobeying the word of God. No LIFE no LIGHT to dispel the devil. Meaning that we are walking in darkness where we can be deceived and bruised by the devil who suppose to take to flight when sighting us. Living an overcoming life is in obedience to the WORD of God. Refusal makes us a slave to the devil. Do we want to be a SLAVE or a SON?
