In his khutbah today... Titled: Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasuulullah! Mallam Jabir Sani Maihula preached that every Muslim should be very obedient to the Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallams commands. Adding that Sahabah Radiyallaahu anhum were used in doing whatever Prophet ordered them to do, or saw him doing. Citing an example of a companion who sat on an entrance, simply because he heard the Prophet saying: Sit down! Sit down! He cited more examples from the actions of companions... Saying that when the Prophet ask you to do something, youre expected to do it to the best of your ability, BUT when he stops you from doing a thing, youre expected to stop it completely, in that case, one canNOT say, Ill stop it as much as I can, rather, he should stop it definitely.
