In his speech during the latest AU Summit, president Uhuru Kenyatta highlighted among other fallacies, that the African continent is in its renaissance. Unless the African leaders have corrupted and thus redefined renaissance, then that statement was, by far, misplaced. I strongly point my finger of blame at the presidents speech-writer, one Mr. Ngeno. At first I kind of believed that Ngeno (what kind of a name is that anyway?) holds a phd in matters to do with propaganda...with a bias in character assassination. The guy is a propagandist by design, nay, by nature. It is preposterous that the renaissance the president was talking about is characterised by, among a myriad of vices, impunity and corruption. Something is terribly wrong with their faculties of reasoning!
