In honor of Salem winning the GSAC conference tournament tonight here is our clip featuring footage of the training we did this year pre-season. I want to give these ladies a huge amount of praise. When an “outsider” like me comes in sometimes there is resistance. They don’t want to try new things or don’t believe the outsider knows what they are doing. That was not the case here. These ladies trusted me and embraced it. They did everything I told them to do and with limited facilities as far as strength and conditioning goes we had our work cut out for us. But I made the best of it with bodyweight training, medball work, agility and jump training. And now months later I am so happy they are getting to see the payoff of the hard work with a regular season championship and a conference tournament championship. And the takeaway for all my athletes at the gym…..hard work wins…period. No matter what your level is, from youth sports to high school and even here on the collegiate level working hard, doing the right things and believing in yourself pays off.
