In honor of Veterans Day, Fort Hood Fisher House Foundation - TopicsExpress

In honor of Veterans Day, Fort Hood Fisher House Foundation honored fallen soldiers from 9-11 to present by having a boot and their photo attached to it. They do a remembrance run/walk and lined the streets with the boots during the event. Afterwards they have them on display for people to come and honor them. I was informed that they hold this event more than once a year and at different post around the United States and overseas. Family and friends are welcomed to write on the boots, decorate them, attach flowers or balloons which then the soldier would keep the same boot each time they hold this event. All of the boots are donated. I was able to find Davids boot and to take a few photos for everyone to enjoy.
