In honor of Veterans Day, UCI would like to thank all of our students, staff and faculty members who served in the United States Armed Forces. We are proud to have them as part of the Anteater Family! We hope you will join us at this weeks events on the UCI campus. The UC Irvine Veteran Services Center invites you to UCIs Annual Veteran Appreciation Week Events honoring UCI R.O.T.C. cadets and UCI faculty, staff, alumni, students, and friends who have courageously served our country. Events are co-sponsored with UCIs student veteran organization, the Veterans Professional Fraternity. Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony Monday, November 11, 2013 9:00 AM UCI Police Station 9:00 AM Over the summer, the Veterans Professional Fraternity contacted Rep. John Campbell to donate an American Flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol Building. The UCI Police Department will fly the flag outside their office, all week, in honor of Veterans Day. There will be a flag raising ceremony outside the UCI Police Station 9:00 AM Monday, November 11, 2013. All are welcome to attend. Veterans Day Ceremony with Keynote Speaker, Vice Provost for Academic Personnel Herb Killackey, US Airforce veteran Tuesday, November 12 12:00 P.M. - 1:00 P.M. UCI Flagpoles Film Screening of The Welcome Thursday, November 14 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Moss Cove A Come learn from student veterans about what military life was like and how it was like to transition to being a civilian again and a student.
