In honor of breast cancer awareness month coming up soon....A little on mammograms: - They only detect 30% of cancer in the fleshy breast tissue. - 70% of breast cancer is found in the axillary region which is not detected in mammograms - Now recommended for age 50+ and only every 2-3 years - Mammograms can only detect breast cancer that has been developing for over 6 years - 40 pounds of pressure are placed on the sensitive breast tissue - Mammograms expose you to so much radiation that it increases your risk of breast cancer by 1% and radiation is cumulative. -Mammograms cannot detect breast cancer in men SOLUTION: - Forget mammograms altogether - Use thermography which can detect 95% of breast cancer EARLY (within 1 year) with ZERO radiation or risk SOURCES: -Dr. Claire H.
