In honor of the 8000th member of Lapidary Group the Lucky 8000th will receive an ultra custom cabochon made by administrator and co-founder of the group Denise M Harrison. Denise has won numerous awards including the highest accolade for quality bestowed by the Northwest Federation Mineralogical Society that of Master Cabochon artist. She also has won Sweepstakes awards at the annual NFMS rock show. Her cabochon work is almost without equal. Denise was also chosen Lapidary of the Month by Rock & Gem Magazine and has contributed articles there. The award is a custom triangle fashioned from agatized bryozoa fossil from Morocco. The gemstone measures 28mm tip to tip and is 5mm in thickness. The perfectly proportioned bezel edge is 3mm high leaving a very shallow and precise dome that is 2mm high.
