In honor of the fast approaching end of Late Night with David Letterman I will now post my top 10 list of Best Musical Moments from the show: 10.Antony Johnson & Lou Reed singing Your Love. 9.Tom Waits singing Make it Rain 8.Sonny & Cher singing I got You Babe together for the first time in 20 years. 7.Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds singing I had a Dream Joe. 6.Captain Beefheart. He didnt perform but didnt need to. 5.Foo Fighters spending the week with Dave playing 5 songs. 4.Red Hot Chili Peppers playing Higher Ground 3.James Brown singing Living in America. 2.Iggy singing mask and stage diving into the crowd. And the greatest musical moment not only on Late Night but possibly anywhere on tv was 1. The great Warren Zevon spending an hour with Dave. talking, reminiscing and playing during his last tv appearance before he died. Ive only missed a handful of his shows in the past 35 years.A huge void will be in my viewing life starting in May.
