In honour of #TBT - #ThrowbackThursday - heres a snippet of my performance of The Vagina Monologues to benefit the Women & Childrens Shelter of Barrie. Just shows as much as a serious topic, could be some humour. Was a great cast and note: Im not an actor - it was just for charity. Have to say, performing in front of a LIVE audience after all our readings and rehearsals, really brought it to life and we thrived on that energy. Was awesome! Grateful for opportunity. #VAW Eve Ensler VDay What is it and why importance: Heres from Eve Enslers site: * Every year V-Day invites activists in colleges, communities, high schools, or youth groups around the world to present select benefit events during and leading up to V-Season (February 1–April 30). The purpose of these events is to raise awareness about violence against women and girls as well as raise money (100% of the proceeds must be donated) for local beneficiaries that are working to end violence.
