In its four years, the PNoy government has little to show except for economic growth which has not trickled down to the masses. It still has, among other things: 1. To bring the plunderers of the national treasury to justice. Its excuse is this is the domain of the Sandiganbayan which is a separate entity. Senate President Franklin Drilon lamented the process will take seven years. Seven years! By that time, the accused will have finished their Senate term and the public paid their generous salaries and allowances. How the accused must be laughing at us! The government talks of creating special courts. Why keep talking? This should have been done months ago! 2. To delete the nationalist provisions in the 1987 Constitution which impede foreign investments. PNoy is against any constitutional change. So no constitutional change, no investments, no jobs. 3. To delete the libel provision in the cybercrime law that threatens online free speech and constitutes, according to the UN Council on Human Rights, a violation of human rights. If the Philippines is found guilty of violating human rights, the US Foreign Assistance Act will kick in, for that act clearly states any country found guilty will not be elegible for US assistance. 4. To pass a Freedom of Information Act. 5. To pass a Political Anti-Dynasty law limiting holders of public office to two members of a family. Such a law is overdue. It is unacceptable that 100 members of the oligarchy and political dynasties continue to control the lives of 100 million Filipinos. 6. To reconstruct devastated áreas of Leyte and Samar caused by typhoon Yolanda. This Excuse-Me, Do-Nothing government is full of talk but has few tangible results. The people are tired of this charade. Erap left as his legacy his wrist band. At the rate this government is moving, Pnoys legacy to us will be the yellow ribbon on his lapel.
