In just one week I will be flying to Houston, TX to compete for the title of Miss United States and the chance to go to Ecuador to compete in an International pageant! You may not understand pageants or why someone wants to subject themselves to something like a pageant, but just know, that its like my Super Bowl. :) The preparation process is the most fun part. Win or lose, I walk away with life lessons, new friends, new skills, and a totally new perspective on where Im going and how Im going to get there. At this point in the game, most of the preparation has been done, its time to reflect on how far youve come emotionally, spiritually, and physically. I have definitely learned in the past years competing that you cant choose the direction of the wave, for it has already been decided for you, all you can do is build a strong, well constructed vessel and ride the current, hoping to part a visible path for others to follow, to learn from and to be inspired to find their passion, capitalize on their strengths, and live out the life theyve always imagined.
