In less than 16 hours the Empire State TQ Midget Series will crown - TopicsExpress

In less than 16 hours the Empire State TQ Midget Series will crown its first feature winner of the Battle at the Border event at the Elegant Builders Raceway Park. With its largest car count expected of the 2013 season, the Battle at the Border event will feature some of the top TQ midget drivers in Western New York. With Three of the Top Five drivers in points from the 2012 TQ midget season in Western New York and when you toss in other top TQ drivers such as Timex Morgan, Andy Nye, Shaun Szejnar, Andy Jankowiak, Patrick Emerling, and Ray Sand Jr the field is one of the best around. It also looks like after violently flipping over the turn 3 guard rail at the Holland Speedway, Brandon Zaverella has his chassis fixed and ready once again to join the Empire State TQ Midget Series Saturday evening. While we will be celebrating the feature winner Saturday night, we will also take time to pause and remember not only one of the founders of the Empire State TQ Midget Series but an ambassador to the racing world, Harry Macy, who passed away May 23rd. A special ceremony is planned to honor the great Harry Macy who did so much for the TQ midgets and racing in general for generations to enjoy. Harry would be celebrating his 85th Birthday today, so come out and honor one of the greatest and most important racing icons tonight! This one is for you, “brother"!
