In less than 48 hours now (God willing), me an my Swell Band - Daniel Isaacs, Tracy Wagers, Bryan Boydstun, and Don Clark - will be taking the stage at Bobbys Idle Hour. May we be blessed by good weather, light traffic and a lack of vehicular mishaps, and smiled upon by the Gods of goofy-ass country music. Should such Gods exist. Well be preceded on stage by my wonderful friend Barbaras band Queen of the South, plus Lois Berg and Christopher Floyd (aka Freight Train). Should be a helluva night, and I sure hope to see a bunch of my Nashville friends there! Saturday well be playin a bit at my bestest buddy Steve Goodies house party, then wrappin up the weekend on Sunday night at the legendary Bluebird Cafe. Ill have plenty o copies of my Winthrop Records CDs to sell for a pittance, as well as copies of my non-fiction book Nashville Songsmiths, which features pretty darned in-depth interviews with 16 #1 Nashville songwriters.
