In less than thirty minutes, season 3 of 2013 kicks off on the iRacing service, and I think it is time to update everyone on what New World Sim Sport will be doing this season. In Proto GT, New World Sim Sport drivers Randolph Chenowth, Jon Hall, Matt Orr, and New additions Jonathan Fuller and Adam Gordon will be battling it out all season long in the Ford GT. Hall, Orr, and Fuller all finised in the top 5 of over all points last season with Chenowth finishing 12th. In Grand Am, NWSS drivers Randolph Chenowth and Adam Gordon will be running the Riley Daytona Prototype. Neither driver has driven in Grand Am regularly but are hoping for a good season. In the winged Formula cars, Nigel Lee will continue to do battle with his opposition. He had a good 2nd season and is hoping to keep up the good performance. In the Mustang, NWSS drivers Randolph Chenowth and Travis Mihm will be battling it out not only in the official Mustang Challenge series, but in the Continental Endurance Sports Car Series as well. The 2 series are vastly different, with the official iRacing series using short single class sprint races, and the CESCS using 2 hour long multi class endurance events every 2 weeks. Both seasons kick off this week, with the CESCS 2.4 hours of Daytona happening this Saturday But guess what? New World Sim Sport drivers run on ovals as well. On the short tracks New World Sim Sport will be battling it out in more than one category. In the Sprint Car, drivers Matt Orr and Randolph will be trying to maintain rear traction and keep the car planted each week, which is easier said than done with such a light car with so much power. And in the modifieds Adam Gordon will be rubbing fenders with Randolph Chenowth making some appearances. Off the track, New World Sim Sport is still looking to expand. We are looking for drivers for a multitude of cars, ranging from prototypes to stock cars to MX5s and anything and everything in between.
