In less than two days time, the people of this county will be faced with either letting their voices and opinions be heard involving the sale of our county hospital to Mountain States Health Alliance, or to let this opportunity to stand up for what we want and for what is right to slip through our fingers. We have to ask ourselves a few questions. Those questions are as follows: Are we honestly going to sit by and not let ourselves be seen nor heard when the future of healthcare for the majority if not all of our county is at stake? Are we going to sit idly by and let those who ran our county hospital into the ground decide WHAT IS BEST FOR US when they seem to be, for the most part, incapable of doing the job that they were entrusted to do to begin with? Are we going to continue to let these people get away with underhanded dealings and worrying only for their interests instead of those who they were suppose to be looking out for to begin with, the residents of Unicoi County? I for one do not believe that this should be taken lightly, nor should we let them continue to do the same. I am but a single entity that lives in this county, as are each and every one of you who lives here along side me and your neighbors, but collectively we have a voice and a right to use it to express our wants, needs and concerns when it comes to the future of our healthcare, and the healthcare of our children. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS OPPORTUNITY FADE AWAY WITHOUT UTILIZING IT TO THE BEST OF OUR CAPABILITIES! THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO BE HEARD! WE NEED WELLMONT!!!!!
