In lieu of #RoadSafetyWeek , I attended GO 20, a national campaign coordinated by Brake to help stop the frequent accidents and deaths that happen every day on our roads, particularly to pedestrians and cyclists. Sadly, recent figures show that progress on road safety is at risk. In the first half of this year we have seen worrying increases in the numbers of people killed and seriously injured on the roads. To change these statistics, thousands of children, schools and colleges, workplaces and police officers from across the country will join together during this time to call for action. I encourage the residents of Scunthorpe to continue to #LookOutForEachOther in order to keep our roadways safe.
