In life, you gotta stand by your friends. Especially the ones who have always been there for you. The Tampa Tribune made a colossal mistake by letting Michelle Bearden go. Flat out stupid. She is magnificent and she found such inspirational stories. Shes also a true friend. She always tipped me of to good stories, shared information constantly and came on my radio show regularly with charm and kindness and great stories to tell. As the only full time faith reporter in town, she was a beacon of light in a newspaper quite often filled with darkness. Her boundless efforts on behalf of this community were so vital and productive. She changed lives on a regular basis and made this a better place to live. She shared the important, unifyiing and uplifting stories that arent going to get told now. She saved ministries, she helped people help those in real need and she always did it with class and dignity. I am so angry at the Tribune, you guys really blew it, big time. You were lucky to have Michelle.,no one else in town wrote like her and you are never going to replace her. I am canceling my subscription, which I only got to read her work. Michelle, you are always there for me and I am standing up with you right now my friend. Here is my proclamation. If you are a person of faith, write a letter to the editors of the Tribune and demand they rehire Michelle Bearden. You are the best writer in town and your stories positively changed my life and everyones life. I am sooo sorry this happened to you. You have earned better treatment than this. We all got your back. You are awesome.
