In light of all this political mess going on in Kansas, and now here, I feel the need to comment. Discrimination is wrong but we all do it. Being the bigger person and not showing it, is the right thing to do. We were all created equal, we all have rights, and opinions. If someone doesnt want my business for whatever reason, Im not going to sue them! I move on and find someone who does. Its sad that we even have to create laws that protect humans who dont fit the mold from being discriminated against. Love one another. And get to know someone who is different from you. You might just create a wonderful friendship! Nursing gives me the opportunity to interact with different personalities every day. It has taught me patience, empathy, kindness and understanding. Being gay has taught me that passing judgment is not ours to do. Accept someone for their faults or differences-we all have them in one form or another.
