In light of the recent media coverage and social media outlets regarding our public safety workers lately, I would like to give you all something to chew on for a while. I have heard and read almost every forum regarding such in the last several days. I am an Officers wife and have been for the last 19 years. I have seen all Officers referred to as Pigs, Wife Beaters, abusers, LEOs, cops, brutes, peace officers, etc., but I have not read what they truly are and that would be ARMOUR BEARERS. Allow me to define Armour Bearer- It is someone who puts on the suite of armour that GOD has provided them to protect others from the wiles of the devil. We can all put on this suite of armour each and every day to ward off evil, but its is not the same suite these men and women put on everyday to protect the innocent. I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to marry one of these Armour Bearers. I have to say that it is not easy to be married to one of them because they are called to duty at the strangest times. Even when they are not being paid, which, by the way, is not enough, they are sometimes called to duty. How much would you pay someone to save your life or your childs life if it were in harms way? The correct answer here would be that it is priceless. If you trespass against one of these men and women, then, they will trespass against you to uphold the LAW. In this article, I am not saying all men and women that have been chosen to wear this suite of Armour is a true Armour Bearer of God. These men and women know who they are. I hope I have defined something for all readers of this article. The next time someone spits on, stomps on, murders, drives down, sets fire to, or strikes an officer of the law, just remember they are doing this to one of GODs chosen Armour Bearers.
