In light of what just happened with Toby, please consider adding a double barrier to your front entrance. Door darting is the #1 cause of dogs being hit by cars. You can easily install a double barrier system (like at dog parks) by putting an ex-pen by the door and fastening it to the walls. Or theres a company that makes Retract-A-Gates that are made especially for this purpose. This was a freak accident and NOBODY is at fault, but we can take extra steps to help prevent it from happening to others!
