In line with this year’s National Day theme Our People, Our Home, pupils from Huamin Primary, as well as from the North 3 Cluster Schools were invited to paint an A2-sized canvas artwork, depicting what the national spirit meant to them. A total of 184 beautiful and meaningful artworks were provided by the pupils. The intent behind the initiative was to use a medium to link the thoughts, the spirit and the pupils’ artworks to form a unique art installation. The outcome is a gigantic three-dimensional artwork, hung from the skylight and passing through the atrium of the mall. The joint collaboration has successfully transformed how shoppers experience and appreciate a shopping mall environment. The exhibits will be displayed in the mall from 8 August till mid-November 2014.
