In loving memory of Teena Brandon whos death was the result of a hideous hate crime. Teena born female moved from Lincoln nebraska to falls city. After years of torment in Lincoln for her being transgender teena moved posing as a male called brandon. Brandon met and fell in love with Lana Tisdel but in the group of friends John and Tom soon discovered Brandons true gender. John and Tom beat and raped teena Christmas eve 1993. Teena reported both men for the assault. John and Tom then on new years day 1994 after fear of being charged with assault went to a house where they knew teena was. They shot Teena, the home owner Lisa lampert and a visitor Philip devine dead while lisa lamperts 9 month old son screamed. They also repeatedly stabbed teena after the shooting. All three bodies were discovered with the infant still screaming the next morning by Lamperts mother.
