In many American Pro sports teams are able to trade draft picks in future drafts. As this years draft is seen to be quite weak, many clubs are reluctant to trade players for draft picks past the second round, e.g Gumbleton to Fremantle. It would allow for clubs to predict where one team would end on the ladder next year or the year after to try and estimate where their pick would be in each round. Do you think clubs should be able to trade future draft picks in return for a player?
