In many ways, life is like poetry. Some people can read a particular poem and immediately understand and appreciate the poet’s dramatic intent and emotional gift. Interestingly enough, other people can read the same poem and actually toss the poem aside in disdain. How can the world be so powerfully and beautifully different? Like the ocean waves that wrap continuously around the earth, people of the world are connected somehow, some way. But rarely, if ever, will we see or fully understand the total connection. Our lack of visibility or comprehension of the connection does not mean the connection doesn’t exist. The same is true with our view of the world: We may never fully understand why things are the way they are. Often, the best we can do is to simply Accept, Adapt, and then Achieve what we can… amidst the blur of everyday life.
