In memory of Robin....Just want to share a (wonderful and rare) recollection of one of the most special, intimate shows I was privileged to attend in February, 1985. The owner of the La Jolla Comedy Store, Mitzi Shore ( Pauly Shores mother) was battling cancer and a benefit show was put together for her, where Robin Williams was the main comedian; along with Damon Wayons, Sam Kinison, Fred Asparagus, and two or three others. This was a very special and *hilarious* show where each comedian who performed was more funny that the last. Robin, of course, was the headliner. As he entered onto the stage (and we were but a few feet, front row from him and could literally touch him), he started out heckling one of the guys I was with because of his members only jacket (remember those?). I remember the sweat pouring down my back, thinking to myself, Oh no, PLEASE dont pick on me, LOL! Robin, of course, did not let us down, and you could almost *feel* the (*manic*) energy coming from his being. I have ALWAYS felt blessed I was able to attend that show, even more so now....RIP, Robin ~ may you now feel the happiness, joy and delight of laughter you brought to SOOO many people!
