In memory of my loving dad, Oscar C. Harper. Born in Jacksonville, Tx. Attended Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Tx, then went into the Air Force for 4 years. He was a leader in communication from Japan to the US. His big ol hands could type 120 wpm. and received recognition for proficiency. After, returning home, he moved to Houston and went to work at W.T. Grant Co. where he and my mom met. Soon afterwards, before they married, he went to work at Armco Steel, where he retired from and moved back to Jacksonville, Tx. In his later years and when he passed, he was known as The Bicycle Man. He fixed up old bikes and gave them to kids that needed one.
